The Carden Nature Festival; held annuallly on the first weekend in June, is a celebration of the natural wonders of the Carden Alvar. In late May and June, Carden is one of North Americas best birding locations, but the area has much more to offer. Experience a wide range of species and habitat including many that are rare, threatened or endangered.
The Festival began in 2007 as an undertaking of the Carden Plain IBA and quickly grew into a collaborative venture supported by many organizations under the guidance of the Couchiching Conservancy, (see steering committee).
Today the Carden Nature Festival is one of North Americas best, featuring more than 100 activities and events. Register online and if you wish, use the online payment option. Participation could not be easier.

Volunteers
Each year it takes more than 150 volunteers to put on the Carden Nature Festival.
From set-up and tear-down to parking and washroom attendants and information booths our Volunteers are a key ingredient in the ongoing success of The Carden Nature Festival. We could not do it without you!
We are looking for Event Marshals for Festival 2012 and Activity Leaders for Festival 2013.
